Ashley is a very seasoned and highly trained nurse: She has her master’s degree in nursing and is a registered Nurse Practitioner specializing in pediatrics. Outside camp, Ashley works as a nurse and loves to go on adventures with her family and her dog Franklin. In addition to being our camp nurse, Ashley is also a camp mom – her son and daughter come to camp too. |

This will be Patricia’s sixth summer at Arowhon. As a nurse, her background is in mental health and emergency. As well, Patricia is a voice teacher and actress. Patricia chooses to go back to Arowhon each summer because it is bountiful in nature and spirit and she loves to witness young people blossom. Nurse Patricia’s caring, kind and nurturing personality make her a very welcoming force at the Med Lodge and we are looking forward to seeing her smiling face once again this summer. |

"Thom Nurse" has been nursing at Arowhon for eighteen years, where he keeps the Med Lodge afloat with his wacky and endearing sense of humour and his bottomless fund of medical wisdom. When not in the Med Lodge, Thom can almost always be found in a canoe. Outside camp Thom goes on canoe trips and spends time at the cottage with his wife Kaye. In "real life" Thom is a clinical nurse at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto working in the Intensive Care Unit, and is a Cardiovascular Research Nurse in the Cath Lab. He also teaches Cardiology, Critical Care and Camp Nursing at George Brown College. Thom is such a source of support (and laughs) to so many people at camp that we can’t imagine a summer without him. |
